REACH series on provincial & federal disability income support

These seminars will provide a general synopsis of Federal and Ontario Disability Support programs including eligibility, rates, treatment of income, related supports and different concepts/definitions relating to disability.

 Programs covered will  include the Disability Tax Credit,( DTC) The Canada Pension Plan Disability Component, (CPPD) Canada /Ontario Student Loans Disability Component (CSLD), Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP), the Ontario Disability

Support Program (ODSP) and the Henson Trust

  • Different Program definitions of disability and how that affects eligibility
  • How to apply and redress mechanisms if turned down
  • Community Agencies offering support to fill forms, provide referrals etc.
  • Representatives from Community Agencies and program experts will answer specific questions regarding the application process and provide advice for ensuring the application form questions are adequately addressed to ensure a timely and efficient application process.
